More than 4,000 turn out to Race for the Cure

April 22, 2011As Nancy Lee explained it, the women who’ve survived breast cancer can certainly handle a little rain.
Despite the cloudy, threatening skies, more than 4,000 people packed the state Capitol grounds Saturday morning for Helena’s 17th annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. They arrived in all manner of pink regalia — from custom T-shirts and bright scarves to wigs and tutus.
