Friends for the Cure Pledge Program
Make your miles count on Race day by raising pledges for the Komen Montana Race for the Cure. Getting started is easy: all you need to do is set a fundraising goal and then ask your family, friends and co-workers to help you reach your goal. Tax deductible pledges are a great way to make a difference, and we have prizes to reward your fundraising efforts.Pledge Participants
- Online Donations - When you register for the Race online, you can set up your own personal Pledge Page. Personalize your page and send emails to friends, colleagues and family asking them to sponsor you. All they have to do is click on the link in your email. Our online tools allow you to support the cause with just a few clicks of the mouse.
- Mail-in Donations - Use the downloadable Pledge Form and start collecting. Mail your completed Pledge Form and form check(s) to Komen Montana Race for the Cure, 825 Helena Avenue, Helena, MT 59601. DO NOT MAIL CASH. Whenever possible, please mark “PLEDGE” on the check’s note section. Postmark deadline is May 10.
- Walk-in Donations - Drop off your donations with your completed downloadable Pledge Form at the Komen Office, 825 Helena Avenue until May 12 or to the Pledge table at packet pick-up/late registration at the Capital Hill Mall on May 13 and 14. Pledge monies are also accepted at the Pledge table on Race day.
Pledge Prizes
This year we are offering participants five pledge levels, each with their own unique race gift.- Race Level - Collect $50 to $149 in pledges and help us “Race” closer to a cure for Breast Cancer.
- Friends Level - Collect $150 to $299 in pledges and be a “Friend” in the fight against Breast Cancer.
- Promise Level - Collect $300 to $499 in pledges and envision the “Promise” that a cure is in sight.
- Hope Level - Collect $500 to $999 in pledges and keep the “Hope” for a cure alive.
- Cure Level - The top participants who reach $1000 or more show they are confident a “Cure” is near.
Grand Prize
All participants in the Friends for the Cure Pledge program who raise over $500 will have their name placed in a drawing for one (1) round trip airline ticket for transportation on American Airlines or American Eagle to any destination in the contiguous U.S. Limit one (1) per household. Drawing to be held at the Awards Ceremony after the Race.Does your company have a matching gift program?
If your company has a matching program, obtain the necessary paperwork from them, complete the form and include it with your pledge form. Komen will submit the form and give you credit for the matching gift. Please be sure that your name is on the match form so that you can get the proper credit.Pledge Details
- Pledges that are not accompanied by an completed pledge form will not be counted towards pledge prizes or team prizes.
- To collect your prize, please stop by the Pledge table during packet pick-up/late registration, May 13 and 14 at the Capital Hill Mall or on Race day at the Pledge table at the State Capitol. Any remaining prizes will be mailed (allow 5 to 6 weeks for delivery).
- For donations up to $250, the IRS accepts a canceled check. Receipts should be given for amounts over $250. Use this blank downloadable Komen receipt or call 406-438-1249 to have a blank receipt mailed.
