New for 2010

Race Course

The 2010 Komen Race for the Cure will now start and finish on 6th Avenue in front of the State Capitol Building. Check the Race Course map for course changes to both the 5K and 1 mile races.

Team Tailgate and Team Tailgate Parking - Presented by Rock Hand Hardware of Helena

Rally your team together before the race and have a designated gathering spot. Decorate your space, display banners, pose for team photos and march to the start line together as a team. See the Race Parking map for the reserved Team Tailgate parking lot. For teams of 5 or more; space is limited.

Survivor Procession

The 2010 Komen Race for the Cure invites all survivors to gather at the Survivor Cafe at 9:30am for a processional walk to the starting line. A group photo will be taken at the end of the procession. Survivors participating in the procession will be able to rejoin their friends and family prior to the start of the 5K Race. Wheelchairs will receive special care and attention.

Timing

There will be no timed events this year. A timing clock will be set up at the finish line for participants interested in timing themselves. Race awards will be presented to the top survivor finishers, determined by place finish. Awards will be announced at the Survivor/Awards Ceremony on the Capitol steps following the Race.

Rain or Shine

The Montana Race for the Cure will occur rain or shine. We reserve the right to cancel in extreme circumstances. In the event of cancellation, there will be no refunds. Your entry fee will be considered a donation to the Montana Race for the Cure.

Medical Aid

Medical aid will be available before, during and after the Race. First aid volunteers will be present at the start and finish areas and first aid kits will be available at the Information Booth and at the 1 mile and 2 mile water stations. If medical attention is required on the Race course, please call 911 or ask the nearest course guard to call for you. Ambulance service is available at the finish line.

Please do not run or walk without training. Drink plenty of fluids. Please remember that you are participating at your own risk.

Safety First

For the safety of all participants, inline skates and pets are discouraged from participating in this event. Thank you for your cooperation.
