Over the past 16 years, Komen Montana has provided $1.2 million to Montana organizations providing mammograms and breast cancer support. This funding was primarily raised through the Montana Race for the Cure. Your financial support is critical to our mission to end breast cancer forever in Montana. The money raised from the Race for the Cure pays for mammograms for medically under-served Montanans, breast cancer awareness programs, research, and support for survivors and their families. Ask friends and family to support the Race for the Cure.

Montana needs an innovative answer to end breast cancer in our state – a plan that works in our rural state with high poverty rates and people lacking health insurance coverage. Also, our American Indian tribes have unique needs. Komen Montana collaborates with non-profit groups across the State to make it possible to direct funds where the greatest impact can be realized. We work together and share resources.
Seventy-five percent of your tax-deductible gift funds Montana grants that provide testing for under-served Montanans and promote breast cancer awareness and prevention in our state. To help fund national research on the causes of breast cancer, and its prevention and cure, 25 percent of your donation supports research.
